At the International Center of Teaching Persian to Non-Persian Speakers (ICTP), we give you a comprehensive list of the best resources to learn Persian.
At our center, after months of preparation, we finally arrived to a conclusion to develop our own Persian language learning textbook collection called “Naqsh-e Jahan”. It is a huge project and was determinedly initiated by the director of the center, Dr. Mohammad Amiryousefi, to provide Persian learners with a standard textbook collection. These textbooks offer a fresh approach to the teaching and learning of Persian. This appreciated collection is on the verge of completing the production phase. As a matter of fact, it is already being called into play for basic courses in our center and we proudly say that despite being new, our learners have found it extremely useful and authentic. This collection is meant for learners with all proficiency levels from beginners to advanced learners. Our learners enjoy the thorough but simple grammar explanations, which are accompanied by several examples and creative practice exercises.
This collection is prepared by a group of Persian language experts with different areas of expertise including Persian Literature, Teaching Persian to Non-Persian Speakers, Second Language Acquisition (SLA), Applied linguistics, etc. Additionally, all of them hold a university degree from the most famous and prestigious universities in Iran.
Apart from Naqsh-e Jahan, we use other famous and well-reviewed textbooks for learning Persian, all prepared and provided by reputable Persian language institutes in Iran such as Parfa collection, Let’s Learn Persian collection, Pande Parsi, Iranology, etc.
We firmly believe that education is not limited to books. Therefore, our teachers employ Persian songs, documentaries, and films to enrich students’ understanding of Persian culture and facilitate their learning.
